Established in 1986, the company has grown from a small specialist manufacturer into a leading supplier of premium flooring accessories across the UK and international markets.
Based in Bedfordshire and employing over 50 people, CAT Flooring Accessories manufactures high-quality stair nosings, floor trims, stair rods and bespoke flooring profiles. Over the past four decades, its products have been specified in prestigious locations including Grain House London, Theatre Royal London, Heythrop Park and Victoria Palace Theatre, demonstrating the company’s reputation for quality, precision and reliability.
From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leader
Founded in 1986 by Paul Hayden, CAT Flooring Accessories began with a modest range of just three UPVC sections and one brass section designed for ceramic flooring. Today, the company offers more than 10 product ranges and over 500 individual products across Aluminium, Brass, PVC and Stainless Steel.
A significant milestone in the company’s journey came with its acquisition by COBA Group in 2021, founded by Mark Cooke. Under the leadership of Business Director Danni Cooke and Operations Director Josh Cooke, the business has entered a new phase of strategic growth and operational development.
In June 2024, CAT Flooring Accessories completed a substantial rebrand and new website launch, designed to provide customers with a clearer, more accessible journey and improved product visibility.

What sets CAT Flooring Accessories apart is its unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and stock availability. The company holds one of the UK’s largest stocks of brass profiles and has hand-finished its products since its inception, a tradition that continues today.
Renowned for its expertise in bespoke and fabricated profiles, CAT works closely with contractors, architects and designers to deliver tailored solutions for complex or high-end projects. Including laser engraved brass stair nosings, custom curved brass stair rods and bespoke project specific stair nosing alterations.
Over the years, the company has received multiple awards from CFJ (Contract Flooring Journal), recognising its product quality, service and contribution to the flooring industry.

Demonstrating its commitment to responsible manufacturing, CAT Flooring Accessories is currently targeting ISO 14001 accreditation by 2027, reinforcing its focus on environmental management and sustainable production practices. Sustainability is embedded within CAT’s manufacturing processes. The majority of its core materials, Brass, Aluminium and Stainless Steel, contain high levels of recycled content, with brass containing up to 100% recycled material, aluminium up to 90%, and stainless steel approximately 60%. All metal trims are fully recyclable at the end of their service life, supporting circular construction principles.
