CAT were contacted by an international customer trying to find engraved brass stair nosings for a tall ship in the United States Military.After discussions with our sales office, it was agreed that BN1 polished brass stair nosing was the perfect profile, and laser engraving was the perfect solution.
CAT specialises in collaborating with clients to craft custom sections, such as a riser detail integrated into our AN65/55CF aluminum stair nosing. The objective was to match the size and color of the tread infill to the riser detail, creating a unique staircase nosing design. Our meticulous approach ensures each project meets its unique requirements, as we specialize in tailored solutions for stair nosings and transition profiles in close collaboration with clients and designers.
A regular client of CAT’s chequer plate stair nosings sought enhanced slip resistance for their stair nosing profiles. Our response was straightforward: we designed a stair nosing with a carborundum tread securely bonded to the surface, providing exceptional slip resistance suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings.Additionally, we received an inquiry regarding complete tread covers made from aluminum chequer plate for an industrial-themed nightclub project. We crafted a prototype and presented it to the customer for consideration.
