Types of Custom Matwell Frames
As standard, we supply matwell frame profiles as standard-length profiles or as a pre mitred frame. Pre-formed corners are also available to special order.
Angle Matwell Frames
We manufacture base-fix angle matwell frames so suit matting of 17.5-26mm gauge. The frames are supplied with a pre-punched base for adhesive or mechanical fixing, using size 6 screws.
Angle matwell frames are available in pre-cut mitres. We can also manufacture pre-cut mitres with welded base, subject to frame size.
Angle matwell frames are available in aluminium and brass finishes to suit a wide range of entrance matting installations, flooring depths and project requirements.
Matwell Edge Frame Profiles
We also manufacture top fixed aluminium, brass, and stainless steel edge frames form most of our perimeter/floor edging trims. They are supplied undrilled as standard. Drilling is available when supplied in lengths. Also available pre-drilled for mechanical fixing when supplied in matwell frame format, subject to matwell frame size.
Matwell Edge Frames are supplied in pre-cut mitres. Matwell edge frames are commonly specified where cleaner perimeter detailing and enhanced entrance finishing are required across commercial flooring projects.
In addition to these profiles, we can manufacture matwell edge frames from stair nosings. Typical examples: BN9, BN1SLR brass stair nosings and AN1SLR aluminium.
Ramp Edge Matwell Frames for Retrofit Installations
CAT manufacture base fixed ramp edge matwell frames suitable for framing matwells and entrance matting systems that are fitted after the floor covering has been installed. They are supplied pre-drilled for mechanical fixing through the tail plate of the ramp tread, depending on the profile. Profiles drilled through the tail plate provide a concealed fixing.
Ramp edge matwells are available in pre-cut mitres. We can also manufacture pre-cut mitres with welded base, subject to frame size.
