FPA 4.5×3 – Aluminium Tread Insert

FPA4.5×3 aluminium stair tread inserts are designed to define and provide slip resistance to the edge of steps. Available in Mill Aluminium and anodised finishes: Black Anodised, Bronze and Light Bronze. Matching stair nosings and flooring trims are available. Please note, anodised finishes are only suitable for full width steps due to the exposed aluminium ends.

Typical installations include timber steps and stone steps.

Stair insert plates are designed to be rebated, in 2 or 3 strips per step, to delineate the edge of stairs within buildings. They are intended for use in dry environments where the predominant direction of foot traffic is at 90 degrees to the strips inserted. When fitted as recommended in our Installation Guides, this product has been tested and found to provide a low slip potential value after installation, with an average PTV of 72 in dry conditions. FPA4.5×3 is also suitable for use as a wall or floor inlay strip to create designs and patterns on floors and walls.

Tolerance allowance should always be made when rebating to allow for any variation in size. Samples are available prior to rebate. Matching stair nosings and flooring trims are available.
