Overview

The LaLiT London, a prominent addition to The LaLiT Group Hotels, marks the group’s inaugural venture into the heart of London, conveniently situated on the bustling Tooley Street. This international hotel is a captivating fusion of history and luxury, seamlessly blending the heritage of a 1920s school building, St. Olave’s Grammar School, with opulent Indian design.

The transformation of this historic building into The LaLiT Hotel London involved a meticulous restoration process that has resulted in a boutique interior, capturing the essence of an Old-Fashioned English School while infusing it with the richness of Indian aesthetics.

Within the walls of The LaLiT London, guests can choose from 70 stylish and unique guest rooms, each offering a distinct experience, from “cosy classrooms” to lavish legacy suites. Many of these rooms provide breathtaking views of London’s iconic landmarks, including the magnificent Tower Bridge.

Beyond its elegant accommodations, the hotel offers a range of amenities designed to cater to the needs of modern travelers. A 24/7 state-of-the-art gymnasium ensures that fitness enthusiasts can maintain their routines while staying at the hotel. For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the on-site spa provides a sanctuary of tranquility. Meanwhile, connoisseurs of fine beverages can indulge in a delightful experience at The Teachers Room, the hotel’s cocktail bar, known for its impressive collection of rare and sourced spirits.

One of the noteworthy aspects of The LaLiT London is its commitment to preserving the historical significance of the Grade II-listed building. The restoration effort included the transformation of the great hall into a versatile event space and the creation of Baluchi, an exquisite restaurant that offers a culinary journey inspired by Indian cuisine.

Collaborating with EPR Architects, the interior design of The LaLiT London incorporates a range of CAT products, meticulously chosen in an Antique Brass finish. This choice complements the overall interior decor and color themes, adding to the hotel’s ambiance and aesthetic appeal.
